Upload a File and Link to It

The Poppulo Harmony Platform allows you to upload files directly from your Media Library or computer and create links to them in your emails. Your readers can then download and view the file.

It's a particularly useful way to share key documents with employees that are unable to access other internal systems (e.g. your intranet); and can be very helpful during merger and acquisition activity when some employees are unable to access other channels. To upload a file into a communication and link to it, follow the instructions below. 

Note: Once you have Sent your Email, it is possible to Replace the File.
 

To Upload a File and Link to it:

  1. Create an Article or Edit an Article.
     

  2. Place your cursor where you would like to insert your link.

  3. Click on the Upload File icon in your Content Editor Toolbar.

  1. Select your file from your computer or the Media Library in your account. The click, Select.

  2. Add Link Text for the file and click Save.

    Note: When uploading a file from your computer, use the Create copy in Library checkbox to copy the file to the Media Library for future use. 
     

  3. Your article text will be updated to include your link text which links directly to your file.

  4. Click Save to save the changes to your article.

     

To Replace an Uploaded File after Sending your Email:

  1. Edit an Article with the file you wish to replace.

  2. Select the link text of your uploaded file and Remove the Hyperlink

  3. Upload your New File and Link to It. The file must have the same name as the previous file. There can be no variations to the name of the file.

  4. Select Replace existing file.User-added imageIf you do not see this option, cancel your changes and check the name of your file.

  5. Save your changes.
  6. Republish your Email to update the file in the sent version of your email.
