Full Story

A Hyperlink is a word, phrase or picture on a webpage that you click on to go to another place, allowing your readers to jump to a new area of content in your communication. Inserting hyperlinks is a great way to limit the amount of text that appears on your page, allowing you to keep your message short and engaging, and giving your readers the chance to easily find more information if they want to.

Linking to an external website means that if your reader clicks the link they'll be taken to the external website.

If you want to link to an external page on your intranet (or any other website), from within your Poppulo Harmony communications, this is the option for you.

Link to an External Website:

  1. Create a Hyperlink and choose External Website from the Link to drop-down.

Note: You can choose to link to an Email Address, Articles from Previous EmailsInternal Page or Article or an Anchor in the drop-down.

  2. Complete the URL field with the full URL (including the http:// prefix). The Title Field is optional, but will make it easier to track how many employees have clicked on the link within your reports.

Note: Select the Open in a New Window checkbox to open the link in a new web browser window (rather than taking readers away from your newsletter by opening the link in the same window).

  3. Click Ok to save and create the link. The text/image will now be a clickable hyperlink to an External Website/page.
