A Tag is a static group of employees. Creating a Tag and applying it to your People allows you to send targeted communications. Unlike Saved Searches, which are dynamic and update based on up-to-date data, Tags are static and can be used to send communications to employees based on criteria that's not recorded within Poppulo; for instance, all those employees involved in a particular project.
Tags are particularly useful when you've been provided with a ad hoc list of of employees that need to receive a particular message. You can Tag People During an Import or Tag People using a Metric Search.
Use the instructions below to Tag People using a Search:
Note: This solution should only be used as a back-up, as sending to Saved Searches is more efficient than sending to a Tag, due to the fact that a Saved Search will update every time it's used ensuring you're always using up-to-date employee data. A tag is a static group of People.
To Apply Tags to your People using a Search:
Run a Search to target the People you'd like to apply a tag to.
All the People matching your search criteria will be displayed on the results page. Use the tick box beside each email address to choose the ones you'd like to add to a tag.
At the bottom of the results, click 'Tags'.
Select the Tags you wish to add to your People and click 'Save'.
Note: You can also remove tags from your People here.
