A Tag is a static group of employees. Create a Tag and applying it to your People allows you to send targeted communications. Unlike Saved Searches, which are dynamic and update based on up-to-date data, Tags are static and can be used to send communications to employees based on criteria that's not recorded within Poppulo; for instance, all those employees involved in a particular project.
Tags are particularly useful when you've been provided with a ad hoc spreadsheet of employees that need to receive a particular message. This spreadsheet can be manually imported into Poppulo, and a Tag applied during the import so that you can easily send communications to them. You can Tag People using Search or Tag People using a Metric Search. Use the instructions below to tag People during an import.
To Add your People to a Tag using a Manual Import:
Go to the People area and click 'Import People'.
Follow the Import Employee process and use the email addresses of the People you'd like to add to a tag.
When you come to the screen below, choose the Tags you'd like to add your People to in the Tags dialog box.
Note: Create a Tag by typing the name into the dialog box and selecting it from the drop-down.
- Click 'Import Now' to complete the update of your People, you can verify this on the final screen or by going to Overview in the People area.
